Governor Shumlin’s large campaign war chest largely funded by wealthy donors

by Robert Maynard

The Democrats have worked hard to put forward an image of sticking up for the little guy.  Ths image flies in the face of the fact that the left wing agenda controlling that party is fueled by the deep pockets of big money donors.  This reality was once again underscored when Vermont Digger ran an article about the vast campaign war chest that Governor Shumlin has left over from the last campaign:

Gov. Peter Shumlin pulled in $87,620 in donations in 2013, padding a war chest that now stands at $706,692.

The majority of the contributions fell on the high roller end of the spectrum, by Vermont standards, as most were in the range of $1,000 to $2,000. Shumlin took in just three donations under $100, and all but $120 came from contributions of $100 or more.

  1. Beginning with the New Deal, the Democrat Party is the worst thing that ever happened to working Americans. It is all sleight of hand, and deception, as they have fooled Americans since 1932. The Democrat elites have taken good care of themselves, and the working American paying the bills be damned. The old Democrat, class envy slogan was ” If you want to live like a Republican, vote Democrat!” That is still their message.
