The legislature solicited public input regarding the Hsiao Report, which outlined plans for a single payer health care system in Vermont. It appears that critical commentary was not given the serious consideration it deserves by the health care committee.
At least the commentator mentioned in this video got a response. My own emailed question regarding the failure of the report to include the cost of privately purchased “wrap around” insurance policies in the cost “savings” while including the cost of privately purchased insurance in the base cost from which savings were calculated went unanswered.
