Transgender Bathrooms

The Vermont House is set to vote on a bill mandating that all single stall public restrooms be  labeled “gender neutral.” Apart from this being a flagrant violation of personal and religious liberty (the mandate would include churches), it means that restaurants, gas stations, and everyplace else can no longer provide customers with a designated women’s or men’s private bathroom.

That means, ladies, you’ll be forced to share facilities with a whole bunch of guys at least one of whom will have really bad aim. Yes, gross.

And guys, no more smugly walking past the long line for the ladies room! From now on you’ll just have to hold it till she’s finished doing … well, who knows what they do in there.

This bill sucks. Call your legislators and tell them to vote not just NO but HELL NO on H.333. After all, doesn’t Montpelier have better things to do?

Here are the geniuses who sponsored this foolishness.

  1. To Sue and Willem—–Most restaurants have more than one toilet so you cannot lock the door. It will not be safe for women and girls to use the same facility as men. This is the most stupid idea I have ever heard of.

  2. It’s hard to believe the “justifications” for being against this bill. Good grief! Church bathrooms have been mostly ungendered as long as i can remember – and I can remember a lot. Who cares?

  3. This article is ridiculous. A bathroom is just a bathroom. Just put a sign that says bathroom. Or restroom. Or toilet. I was raised Catholic and we had one bathroom and it was shared by everyone. The only sign on the door was v one made out of cardboard that said occupied on one side abs vacant on the other. Do all of you segregate men and women into two separate bathrooms at home? No? Hypocrites.

  4. Churches cannot be forced to comply if it violates their sincerely held religious objections. Certainly, there must be a lawsuit. But even while the suit is making its way through the courts, churches who hold true to the Bible cannot and must not comply. And Catholic Churches cannot either. I am sure liberal churches will agree, but this is where the rubber meets the road and the true followers of Jesus Christ will have to make a stand to keep this anti-Biblical political correctness out of their houses of worship.
